Dina is originally from Forest Hills in Queens. New York. But she changed her location to Dix Hills on Long Island right before the end of her junior year. There are two of her siblings: an older brother whose name is Gregory and a younger brother named Evan. Her first exposure to the industry of entertainment was in the form of modeling between the ages of nine and sixteen. Her acting education began in The Neighborhood Playhouse in New York in which she learned Sanford Meisner's techniques for acting together alongside Ron Stetson, for about three years. Other actors to receive such training are Sandra Bullock, Michael Douglas, Jeff Goldblum, Leslie Nielsen, Diane Keaton, among others. Her first role was in the soap opera Beverly Hills, 90210, that required her to relocate out to Los Angeles. After being offered the lead part for Johnny Mnemonic where she did majority of the stunts herself, she positioned herself as an actress that is physically fit. Her agent was Matt LeBlanc, so through her talent agent she managed to get a regular part in the show Friends.
